Living Mino Bimaadiziwin: An Indigenous Journey through the Arts is an immersive visual and audio exhibition that showcases artefacts and a variety of visual artwork by renowned Indigenous artists. The exhibition takes visitors through a journey of Indigenous life pre and during contact in order to better understand today’s contemporary realities through a highly impactful and immersive installation.

The exhibition includes paintings, collage, fabric, audio, and jewelry and also features pieces from The Red Dress Exhibit: If Only These Dresses Could Tell Their Story, a powerful installation which has been on tour across North America. Produced audio documentaries, narrative signage, and an interpretive brochure give visitors additional ways to connect with the exhibition’s message – the direct impact Residential Schools have on today’s Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2Spirit individuals (MMIWG2S) epidemic.
“The exhibition will take visitors through a path starting with the Creator’s Original Instructions and the gifts which were given to all of the Natural World to contemporary issues. It is about Hope and living Mino’ Bimaadiziwin – a good respectful life – to be in balance with all life forces – to living a life that matters – to live from the heart and lead with LOVE. All of which are part of our 7 Grandfather Teachings.
