We welcome everyone to this 13 Moon Drumming Circle, which helps bring our good minds and strong hearts together in strengthening our connection to the heart beat of our Mother Earth. This shared time together enables our inner child the opportunity to sound out in a safe environment… (singing is optional but encouraged ). We begin with a Traditional Opening and Smudge, then rounding out the hour with the sharing of a variety of songs. Limited Hand Drums (Deweguns), Shakers, and Rattles can be supplied as alternatives for those in attendance without their own.

Speaking of ‘Deweguns’, which literally translates into meaning ‘Living Heart’; during this same hour we will be officially launching a joint project “101 Deweguns… A Living Hearts Legacy”, in support of the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF).

Jackie Labonte and Oliver Nobosin are life partners, having shared life together for over 20 years.

Jackie (tekaiatakwas) is self identified from the Turtle Clan of the Mohawk Nation, Six Nations of Grand River Territory. They have established and are currently engaged in expanding a cultural collective known as Kimisken (You found it), which provides culturally based Workshops and Circles.
