Cree storyteller, playwright, novelist, pianist and Order of Canada recipient Tomson Highway shares stories and music with St. Catharines audiences as a special co-presentation with The Festival of Readers.
Highway’s works have won innumerable awards in Canada and internationally. In addition to high accolades, he has influenced a generation of Aboriginal artists and performers, and continues to promote Indigenous arts and cultures. Highway enjoys an international career as playwright, novelist, and pianist/songwriter. His best-known plays are The Rez Sisters, Dry Lips Oughta Move to Kapuskasing, Ernestine Shuswap Gets Her Trout, and The (Post) Mistress. His best-selling novel is Kiss of the Fur Queen.
